Master Instructor Rhon Mizrachi, Dan 5, has dedicated his life to the art of Krav Maga. He has been training for almost 40 years, beginning at age 7, under Krav Maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld and Haim Zut. He has spent 25 years teaching Krav Maga, and is the highest ranking Krav Maga instructor residing outside of Israel who has received each of his belts directly from his teacher, Grandmaster Haim Zut.
Rhon was born in Hadera, Israel. His father, Itsik Mizrachi is a 7th generation Israeli and Veteran of 5 wars; his mother, Hela, is a Holocaust survivor, educator and proficient student of history.
Rhon was one of a core group of students devoted to Haim Zut and his school. After 10 years of training, Rhon became a "Full Instructor" of Krav Maga, certified by the Wingate Institute. As is the case with many Israelis, Rhon saw active combat during his military service (Beirut, Lebanon, 1982). When his military service ended in 1984, he returned home with a deep commitment to continuing his training with Haim, and determined to instill in other people the sense of right and responsibility to defend oneself, one's family and one's homeland. These are the beliefs that led Rhon to ask for Imi and Haim's blessing to open a Krav Maga school in the United States. This school was the first school in the United States established by Imi's organization, Israeli Krav Maga Association.
Over the course of his Martial Art's career Rhon has instructed thousands of students, including civilians, members of law enforcement and military groups. He has conducted seminars on all aspects of the art and continues to exchange information with the Professional Committee in Israel, notably with the head of the committee 8th Dan Uri Rephaeli, with whom he continues to train, traveling to Israel and bringing Uri to the U.S.. In 2005, Grandmaster Zut awarded Rhon the title of Master Instructor, thereby ensuring his legitimate right to protect and uphold the future of the authetic art of Krav Maga.

Like other true Martial Artists, what sets Rhon above and apart is that he lives by and teaches the codes set forth by his teachers: strength of character, ethics, decency and respect. These are qualities that Rhon believes teachers must nourish in their students. Krav Maga is the vessel that Rhon uses because of his skill and expertise. Helping to mold human beings into better people is what he feels is his responsibility. Students come to train with Rhon because of his proficiency in the authentic art of Krav Maga, but gain more than the highest level of training- they join a family.
Rhon believes that he and the Krav Maga Federation are guardians of the true art of Krav Maga. To safeguard the future of the art Rhon instills in his instructors and students what his teachers taught him: that everyone deserves a chance, everyone is worth teaching, and that we must support each other in the creation of an environment where people develop character through their training. It is because of this belief that he is committed to upholding the standards set by Imi and Haim: to follow a moral code, to properly educate fighters and to ensure respect for true Krav Maga.
Those who become part of Rhon's schools find their lives transformed. In August, 2008, Rhon took 50 of his students to Israel for a two week intensive training seminar and travel throughout Israel. Students who successfully completed the material required to pass their next test received their belts atop Masada
, a place of great historical importance to Israel.
This trip remains one of the proudest moments in Rhon's life, bringing his students to visit Israel, the birthplace of Krav Maga.
